Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers donate thousands of hours each year. With their help we stretch every dollar. You too can help - volunteers are caring community members just like you. We have a volunteer job for you.
Our
shelter director will be happy to meet with you to schedule and design
a volunteer project that works for you or your group and our clients.
Volunteer Opportunites include:
- Man the Crisis Line
- Work with Newsletter or other mail outs
- Receptionist
- Speaker for various social and church groups and organizations
- Distribute literature to businesses and doctors’ offices
- Staff tables at various events throughout the year
- Organize the STOP Program
- Contribute by sitting on various committees
Before working with clients, volunteers must first complete an “in shelter” training program. Margie’s Haven House, Inc. offers the training “as needed.” Please contact the shelter director by email or phone 501-362-6757.
