Margie's Haven House, Inc.; a non-profit domestic violence shelter, is seeking a full-time Lead Victim's Advocate. Primary responsibilities include individual assessments and crisis intervention to adult victims of domestic violence, and their children.
Required Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Knowledgeable of domestic violence
Computer literacy
Proven organizational skills
Public speaking skills
Ability to function independently with minimal direct supervision
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Experience working in a court setting not required but preferred
Other aspects of the position:
Perform all job responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency in all Margie Haven House, Inc. competencies and a commitment to the overall mission of Margie's Haven House.
Perform functions of job according to policies and procedures
Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions
Provide/supervise support group
Have transportation and ability to provide transportation for clients to appointments, if necessary
Accompany clients to court and community meetings as necessary.
Hours:
Full-time.
Minimum of 40 hrs/week. This will include weekly evening support
group meetings.
